Health
All cats must be current with their vaccinations as stipulated by your vet.
Boosters must be administered no less than 14 days prior to cats entering the cattery.
A current veterinary certificate must be produced on arrival.
We reserve the right to refuse any cat that, in our opinion, appears to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease.
All cats over the age of four (4) months must be neutered or spayed.
All cats must be regularly treated for worms and fleas, and preferably treated two weeks prior to their stay.
We reserve the right to;
The proprietors do not accept liability for illness, disease or accident.
All possible care and attention are given to every cat in our care.
Cattery Hours
Operating hours are:
Monday - Saturday from 8:00 am to 10.00 am and from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Sundays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Closed for check-in and check-out on New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Fees and Payments
Boarding fees are charged daily and include days of arrival and departure.
Payment can be made before or at the time of pick-up.
Stays which include any days from either, the Sunday preceding Good Friday to the Sunday following Easter Sunday, or, 15th December through 15th January, require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Easter deposits are required 4 weeks prior to Good Friday, and deposits for Christmas bookings by 15 November.
Fees are per day, including day of arrival & departure, and GST inclusive.

Payments by direct deposit to our account, Scratch Pad Cattery BNZ account (available on request), must be cleared prior to arrival. Please allow at least 2 business days for funds to clear if you bank with any bank other than the BNZ.

Abandoned Cats
We reserve the right to make alternate arrangements for cats not collected within 14 days of the arranged pick-up date where the owner or any emergency contacts cannot be reached.
Cats will not be released to anyone other than the owners or named emergency contact(s) on the booking form unless prior notification is given via email or text.
Liability
All cats are boarded at the cat owner’s sole risk. While all precautions and care are taken to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the cats in our care, Scratch Pad Cattery is not liable for escaped cats, accidental injury, sickness, or death during boarding. Cats are admitted to Scratch Pad Cattery at the owner’s sole discretion.
In the case of death from sickness or age, Scratch Pad Cattery reserves the right to take the deceased animal to your vet clinic.
Owners are responsible for disclosing all relevant information about their cat(s) with regards to behaviour problems, being escape artists, aggression, allergies, disruptive behaviour, injuries and sexual state.
The owner agrees to be solely responsible and liable for any harm or damage caused by their cat(s) during their stay.
Scratch Pad Cattery reserves the right to require the emergency contact person to remove a cat from the premises should the cat cause undue stress to other cats, is aggressive, disruptive or making excessive noise persistently or has extreme separation anxiety, to our sole discretion. Excessively aggressive cats will not be accepted into the cattery.
Media
Scratch Pad Cattery may wish to share images of your cat(s) on our website and/or social media accounts. Please let us know if you do not consent to images or videos being shared online.
These terms and conditions are in place for the protection of your cat.

- 2nd cat in an individual run - $12 / day
- 3rd and subsequent cat in an individual run $11 / day
